Week 1-2 10 tips and
tricks related to the Sandbox User Interface.
1. Perspective at top left of viewport- used for changing different point/types of view.
eg. wireframe mode-F3/ right click perspective/ choose from
display.
2. Resolution- right click to choose different resolution
3. By name function- enter the name to input bar then enter in order to isolate the same type of object.
4. Speed- speed of viewport camera. The higher number the quicker move of the view.
Shortcut W/S for go back and far.
5. Shortcut Control+ G/Esc for in game mode/ editor mode.
6. Go to position- where the camera and view is.
7. View- show console for putting comments.
Double click bottom input bar/click... for
all valid comments.
8. Rollup Bar- Create objects/Modify objects/Hide by category/Layer manager.
9. Use Designer in Rollup Bar to create
blocks. Then click file to export selected objects. The object can be saved to
use for other software as well.
10. Tool Bar
- Undo/Redo
- Link/Unlink editors
- Drop down to select one type of object
- Selection tool
- Move
- Rotate
-Scale tool
-Select terrain area-to export terrain to
obj.
- Change working pivot.
11. Tool Bar
- XYZ for lock on different Axis.
- XY for lock on XY panel.
- Follow terrain
- Follow terrain and snap to objects
12. Tool Bar
- Snap grid for change grid size (meter)
when moving the object.
-Snap angle affect rotation angree (degree).

13. Tool Bar
- Measure for measuring a distance from a
specific point to another.
