BENV 2423 BLOG WEEK 1-3

Week 1-3: listing 5 ways you might customize your Sandbox editor setup.

1. Attach and detach the editor dialog.

- Drag one into another in order to have only one window.

-Drag the window to attach at top/left/bottom/right.

-Console comments bar can be detach as well.

2. Turn on/off the tool bar- Right click the empty area.

3. Customizing editor

-Tools-customize keyboard/right click empty area for customize-toolbars used for create new tool bar.

-Tools-customize keyboard-option-tick show shortcut keys in ScreenTips in order to see shortcut of each tool.

-Keyboard.

-Commends.

4. Tools-Preference

 
General settings

-Console Background for changing comments input bar background color.

-Turn off Enable Source Control unless you connect to source control network.

File

- Tick backup on save.

- Enable Auto Backup in order to auto save your works every few minutes.

Viewports

-Perspective view Aspect Ratio.

-Turn on Highlight Geometry on Mouse Over for pre visualize the object that you are able to select.

-Selection preview color/Geometry color.

-Movement for changing movement or rotation speed etc.

-Gizmos-Helpers Scale.

 

5. Tools-Configure ToolBox Macrosoft for configure user commends and edit certain function you use a lot.

eg. turn off music and sounds or get rid of right top comments.
