Strategy Statement:

My island is using the last number of my name N and the last number of my student ID 8. The macro scale to micro scale of my letter and number combinations are revealed and concealed in the different area of my Island. The key SHIFT+F1 TO F9 and the vedio will be the direction to see these main combination, and when move around these position you will find more. The macro scales 5-3 are through the shape of whole island, rock pool, and road etc. The placement of waterfall, boat, trees and grass etc. The proportion of the rock, mountain and trees etc. The micro scales 2-1 are concealed with the waterfall drop particals and shadow.

Week 6 Lecture Reflection:

This week' s lecture we have looked at some of the movie trailers like Jaws (1975) in order to get the understanding of movie track and sound track. Also, Russell at the lecture showed us the basic use of flow graph.

Week 5 Lecture Reflection:

This week' s lecture was about the subliminal and gived a lot of examples for showing different ways of configure my own letter and number combination. For example, rearrange the shape or order of decals, brushes, entities, objects and vegetation. Also consider the patterns, textures, shadows and reflections. This gived me a lot of new ideas of my own island 5 scales ranging from the macro to the micro.

Week 4 Lecture Reflection:

This week' s lecture went through a lot of examples for showing the mood and drama of the scene. And also showed how you can invoke emotions through the changing of lighting and climate effects to give a strong and real scene. Otherwise the lecture was about teaching how to use cryengine to add rain, snow or even a kichen to our island. This gived me a lot ideas for my own island.

Week 3 Lecture Reflection: 

This week' s lecture went through a lot of examples for showing what is picturesque. The picturesque is the intermediate aesthetic category of roughness, wildness and irregularity. It is important to consider the proportion or fore ground, middle ground and background according to Repton' s guideline rules. And for my understanding of the picturesque after lecture, it is like to make a scene which has best quality from different point of views.
